Do you have trouble soldering?Do you think might have something to do with setting up?
I find using the reverse action tweezers are perfect for helping to hold pieces when soldering. You can marry them up with a soldering block or two and then use gravity to place the piece down onto the other piece to be soldered. The handle of the tweezers acts as a balancing point.
